Jubilee Clips
Jubilee Clips are worm-drive hose clips used to secure a hose onto a barbed fitting, spigot or pipe, creating a tight, adjustable seal. A screw mechanism drives a threaded worm gear against a slotted band, allowing the clip to be tightened evenly around the hose using a screwdriver or nut driver. PTS stocks the genuine Jubilee® branded range, covering standard worm-drive clips alongside related fixings such as quick-release straps, P-clips and O-clips, all supplied in metric sizing.
Materials
Jubilee Clips are manufactured from Stainless Steel, giving the band and housing resistance to corrosion in wet, outdoor or otherwise demanding environments.
Original Range & Light Range
The Original Range is the standard Jubilee worm-drive hose clip, suited to general-purpose hose clamping across a wide range of diameters. The Light Range uses a lighter-gauge band for applications where a smaller, less bulky clip is preferred and full clamping force is not required.
High Torque Range
The High Torque range uses a reinforced band construction to deliver higher clamping force than the Original Range, making it better suited to applications subject to vibration or higher pressure, where a standard clip may be prone to loosening over time.
Quick Release Straps
Quick Release Captive Straps and Fliplock Straps both allow a hose clip to be released and re-fitted quickly without removing the clip entirely, useful in applications where hoses need to be disconnected regularly for maintenance or replacement. The captive design keeps the strap attached to the housing when opened, while the fliplock design uses a lever mechanism to open and close the band.
P-Clips
P-Clips are used to mount and secure a single pipe, cable or hose to a surface, rather than to join two components together. The P-shaped body wraps around the pipe or cable and is fixed in place with a single screw through the mounting hole.
O-Clips & Superclamps
O-Clips (2-Ears) form a permanent crimped joint rather than an adjustable one — the two ears are compressed with pincers to lock the clip in place, and it cannot be re-opened or re-tightened afterwards. Superclamps are a heavier-duty clamp designed for larger-diameter hose and pipe applications where the standard worm-drive range is not suitable.
FAQs
What's the difference between the Original Range and the High Torque range?
The High Torque range uses a reinforced band construction that provides higher clamping force than the standard Original Range. This makes it better suited to applications where the clip is subject to vibration or higher operating pressure, since a reinforced band is less likely to loosen or slip under those conditions.
What is an O-Clip used for?
An O-Clip (2-Ears) creates a permanent, crimped joint by compressing two ears together with pincers, rather than an adjustable worm-drive joint like a standard Jubilee Clip. This makes it suited to applications where a fixed, tamper-resistant seal is needed and the joint is not intended to be re-opened or re-adjusted after fitting, unlike the adjustable worm-drive clips in the rest of the range.
What's the difference between Quick Release Captive Straps and Fliplock Straps?
Both allow a hose clip to be opened and re-fitted without full removal, but they use different release mechanisms. Captive Straps retain the strap within the housing when released, so it doesn't come apart from the clip body. Fliplock Straps instead use a lever-operated mechanism to open and close the band. Both are intended for applications where hoses need to be disconnected and reconnected regularly.
Is imperial (inch) sizing available for Jubilee Clips?
Jubilee-branded worm-drive clips are predominantly supplied in metric sizing in the UK market today, which reflects standard current practice for hose clamping in this market. Imperial (inch) sizing exists mainly as a legacy or specialist option rather than a standard stock line, so customers with a specific imperial requirement should confirm availability for the size needed.
